Which tasks will you perform?
- Overall responsible for managing the production site 24/7, achieving and exceeding the agreed objectives of the group, developing a strategic vision for the site in line with the group’s strategy, setting and implementing goals to improve safety, quality, production, and the distribution of work within the site
- Proposing and/or developing meaningful investment projects for the site(s) under management and securing budgets for these projects
- Frequent monitoring of results and supervising operational outcomes by gathering and analyzing relevant data
- Determining and implementing corrective actions when needed to exceed set goals
- Applying lean manufacturing principles to design, specify, and validate world-class production processes
- Ensuring processes are standardized and aligned with group-level defined processes, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and legislation
- Researching and implementing innovative methods for production processes to reduce costs and improve product quality
- Organizing preventive/corrective maintenance
- Warehouse management and ordering of technical parts
- Ensuring a safety culture within the site(s) and the wellbeing of employees
- Coaching and guiding employees in their growth so that they develop the right behavior and competencies
- Evaluating and providing feedback to (direct) employees to support their development
- Actively participating in (the preparation of) customer visits, audits, and visits to suppliers
- Organizing interaction and participation of employees, ensuring engagement and accountability among all employees
- Collaborating with other plant managers and colleagues, departments, and stakeholders to achieve group goals and increase customer satisfaction
- Ensuring good cooperation with HR and that HR processes are implemented
- Ensuring effective budget management, cost monitoring, and follow-up
- Collaborating with functional departments to implement all continuous improvement activities
- Being part of the project team in the context of investment projects
- Achieving agreed deadlines for implementation projects
- Providing support to and contributing to the organization's sustainable business values
Who are we looking for?
- Practical & hands-on bachelor in electromechanics or equivalent through experience
- Preferably around 5 years of experience in leadership roles in a production environment
- Experience in the process industry
- Has strong organizational, administrative, and leadership skills
- Communicates smoothly and clearly with all levels inside and outside the organization
- Works well with colleagues and shares knowledge, experience, and best practices
- Possesses practical business insight and the ability to effectively manage, lead, and supervise a multidisciplinary team.
- Brings out the best in their team, is able to motivate and influence people
- Safety- and quality-conscious, result-oriented
- Has strong financial acumen
