Site Manager - Picardie (M/F/X)

What are your responsibilities?

  • Overall responsibility for managing the production site, achieving and exceeding the agreed objectives set by the group, developing a strategic vision for the site in line with the group strategy, and defining and implementing improvement targets for safety, quality, production, and work allocation at the site.
  • Analyze performance, monitor key indicators and implement actions to improve the site’s results.
  • Oversee maintenance, technical asset performance and planning of investment projects.
  • Provide support to PGS Nord Homblières (located 1 hour 10 minutes from PGS Nord Picardie).
  • Propose and/or develop significant investment projects for the site(s) under management and secure budgets for these projects.
  • Organize REC production: planning, coordinating the team, organizing meetings, and ensuring machine quality, safety, and maintenance.
  • Regularly monitor results and oversee operational performance by collecting and analyzing relevant data.
  • Where necessary, define and develop corrective measures to exceed the set targets.
  • Apply lean manufacturing principles to design, specify, and validate world‑class production processes.
  • Ensure that processes are standardized and aligned with those defined at group level, and guarantee compliance with applicable standards and legislation.
  • Identify and implement innovative methods for production processes to reduce costs and increase product quality.
  • Ensure a safety culture within the site(s) and employee well‑being, in compliance with environmental and legal standards.
  • Coach and guide employees in their growth so that they develop the right behavior and skills.
  • Assess and provide feedback to (direct) employees to promote their development.
  • Take an active part in preparing customer visits, audits and supplier visits.
  • Organize employee interaction and participation, ensuring engagement and accountability of all employees.
  • Work with the other plant operations managers (FAB/REC) and colleagues, departments and stakeholders to achieve group objectives and increase customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate closely with group management, HR, QHSE and engineering to align site strategy with company objectives.
  • Ensure effective budget management, cost control and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with functional departments to implement all continuous improvement activities.
  • Be part of the project team for investment projects.
  • Meet the agreed deadlines for implementation projects.
  • Support and contribute to the organization’s sustainable business values.
  • Build a high‑performance culture through team coaching, leadership development and talent retention.

Who are we looking for?

Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a production environment.
  • Experience in the process industry.
  • Technical degree (e.g. Bachelor’s, industrial engineering, electromechanics) or equivalent through experience.

Skills:

  • Has strong organizational, administrative and leadership skills.
  • Languages: French and English, possibly other foreign languages.
  • Ensures compliance with the PGS Code of Conduct and relevant standards and legislation.
  • Communicates smoothly and clearly with all levels inside and outside the organization.
  • Works smoothly with colleagues and shares knowledge, experience and best practices.
  • Has strong business acumen and the ability to manage, lead and effectively supervise a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strives for the best team performance culture, and is able to motivate and influence people.
  • Safety- and quality-conscious, results-oriented.
  • Strong analytical skills and able to deal with more complex materials and present them with ease.
